Torque specs

I need the torque specs for the serpentine belt tensioner. The tensioner is part number 31170-R8A-A01. The main assembly mounting bolt is a socket head cap screw part number 96600-08060-08. The only source I have found is 33 ft-lbs, but that seems way too tight for this bolt. Thanks!

I agree that seems high.

16 lb-ft is the official spec for the K-series tensioner which uses M8 x 1.25 bolts. I imagine the J35 tensioner is similar.

Personally I don't use a torque wrench on these - I snug them down to "quarter inch ratchet tight" and have never had an issue.

The M10 bolt that goes through the pulley is 33lbft , the m8 bulb is 16 per my service manual for the 3rd gen TL (shares a similar J35 engine),. I'll let others chime in for the RDX though
