Spare ignored by dealer; flat

Just wanted to post that I happened to check the spare tire in my wife's car and noticed that it was at 15psi and was meant to have 60psi. It does not look like the dealer has been checking it during the regular service visits so I'd advise you to do a quick check yourself.

It stinks, but this tends to be a common issue unfortunately among most dealerships. I feel like you have to check all the basic things on your car anyway. I know that for myself I only put all my trust into my personal mechanic, unlike the dealers where I have almost no trust for them.

as a car owner, that responsibility falls on you.

if you get a flat, are you gonna call the dealer to put it on for you?

Definitely should be checking your spare every so often to avoid this exact situation. Unfortunately, you're not alone in this oversight if it is any consolation

Who ever checks the spare? Out of sight, out of mind.

Actually, unless you have the all wheel drive model, it doesn't even have a spare!
If you want the dealer to check it for you, empty the back so they can lift the cover and mention you want them to check it.

Ditto to above on emptying the back and telling dealer to check the spare... I however, instead of doing that, have always assumed they don't check and do it myself from time to time.
