Remote start? Worth it?

I'm getting ready to bite the bullet and purchase a new RDX in the next week or so. I've got some questions that I haven't seen addressed on the forum yet (or maybe I missed?) so I'm sorry if you see a lot of new threads being opened by me.

Did anyone get the remote start option?
How do you like it?
How's the range?
Are you still able to just have it in your pocket and have the door unlock by wrapping your hand on the handle (without pushing the handle's button)?

I'm considering it only because if I get the black interiors, I can see myself wanting to cool the car off during the summer before jumping in. It would only make sense to use during the winter time for the reverse as well, but I'm more concerned with Summer, to be honest.

Thanks!

My dealership recommended I just go to a reputable near by car stereo place because they will give you pretty much the same thing but a lot cheaper. I figure if they are sending my business elsewhere they must be serious. I haven't got it installed yet though.

I hate people that have to worry about starting their car to run the AC because its too hot, while we have to get it because we freeze our ass off! I wanna move.....And the Carolina's would be a good happy medium for me.

Weather, lol.

Thanks for the feedback. I think I'll just man up and not get it. The way I'm looking at this now is that I have been doing well without it for 15 years now. Why would I need it now?

Thanks folks.

I will definitely be getting it before next winter, but I will see how the black interior works out in the summer.

Relative to summer cool down, just hold the unlock button down and the windows will drop and sunroof open. Do it while you walk to your car and you'll get a head start on letting out the super hot air.
