RDX Recall??

My buddy told me today that he heard there is a recall on RDX. I tried to punch in the VIN number on the Acura website and I don't see any recall information.

Anyone heard about it?

you can google it. they are sending out recall notices in May. Has something to do with the car having the potential to shift out of park without pressing the brake in freezing temperatures

Spoke to staff at the dealership, they are well aware of this, don't have the parts in yet to start fixing this. Also sounds like they are putting "holds" on the existing sales until they can fix them -- e.g. aren't letting new one's without the fix going out the door. Could put a damper on the sales -- any new buyers / prospective buyers running into this?

I have far from freezing temps ----- 80F today!

Tried my best to get the shift lever to budge without brake pressed...couldn't do it! I am surprised that they are stopping sales across the board for their most popular model!!

Well it's not subfreezing in most areas so it shouldn't do it. Also, isn't the MDX actually Acura's biggest seller? Anyway, since it's only supposed to be a factor in subfreezing temps I think they have some time to fix this in the lower 48! Don't know why they would be stopping sales in places that don't even get below 50 this time of year unless they just don't want them going out the door only to come back for the recall.

Then again, possibly the problem can occur at other temps but just not as easily or frequently.

My dealer in Salt Lake City was delivering two RDX's yesterday. Not so sure about the hold on this issue?
