power liftgate on rdx will not open automatically from the outside pressing the button

 

What model year is your RDX?

Will it open when using the button on the dashboard? How about the button on the FOB?

Once it is open, can you close if from the button on the interior of the hatch?

You know that that outside button will only work if you have a working smartkey within about 30" of the latch area? Does your smartkey unlock the driver's and passenger's doors normally?

I just got back from the Acura dealership and they had trouble coming up with a solution, until they discovered that the 2014 tech package RDX does not have this option. Strangely the 2014 MDX does.
