Power folding mirrors?
#2
Power folding mirrors are not available in the U.S.
Some (if not all) of the Canadian models have them (one of the several differences that makes no sense between the Canadian and U.S. markets).

The car can steer, brake and accelerate by itself, but something as simple (and needed in the city!) is not available!

Canada is smaller so there's need for power folding side mirrors to squeeze the car
There's too much snow in Canada that the windshield fluid will be used up at no time. Therefore the need for the low fluid warning
Canada is too cold that folks are too lazy to go out, so the remote start is a good incentive.

I think the bottom line is that Acura cheapens out on basic things to save a few dollars here and there. The sad story is that at the same time it pretends to be a luxury brand.
A car costing upwards of $50K without those goodies is absurd.

The RDX is a nice vehicle but the interior has a cheap look and feel with all the hard plastics.

That said your cars are cheaper to buy and perhaps that's the reason.

Doesn't make sense to me either!

Yup, this pretty much exactly. The interior of the new rdx is nowhere near luxury with the abundance of hard cheap plastics.
Seriously, things that start at 40k here, start at like 29k there (grand cherokee for example).

Acura in america has no clue what buyers want. The differnces between canada and US spec would not cost a lot. I live in northeast have no clue why Acura does not have low washer fluid light. Theres nothing like running out of fluid on highway after a snow with sun out . Being totally blinded!

I see it more as a safety concern than a frilly cutesy option. To compound it, it can be hard to see the washer fluid tank on some models, so no sensors and no ability to visually check? No fun and no cool! AND they gave you guys a SMALLER RESERVOIR!!!! What the actual hell is going on here? Does Acura sell more cars in Canada? That would account for the difference (but I highly doubt it since the us has like 10X our population.
