New Owner Workshop

Anyone been to one of the new owner workshops that Acura apparently requires it's dealers to hold? Sounds like they will explain the tech and help set up handsfree, audio, etc. as well as introduce to service dept. etc.

"We'll show you how the advanced technology in your Acura can take your driving experience to a whole new level. We'll work with you, one-on-one, and help you fine-tune your Acura's personalized settings, get your vehicle to respond to your voice commands, connect your phone via Bluetooth® HandsFreeLink® and ensure you get the most out of your audio system."

My (non-techie) sister went to one. Said it was a total waste of time. They tried to sell her add-ons and just told her what was in the quick start guide. The big draw for others apparently was the "free" car wash-n-scratch

There's food (they say "dinner") and beverage provided. But free food at a waste of time is still a waste of time.

These are directed at the technically illiterate who never got (or forgot) a primer from the dealer and can't read the quick start guide.

If you have time you might want to go and report back.
