New to Forum. WeatherTech question

Hello all,

My wife and I just picked up the 2016 RDX Elite in white pearl and black interior for our second vehicle. This one is mainly for my wife as such added the following accessories such a front window tint, 3M hood and hatch protector, side door protector and now looking at floor matts. As we live in Toronto the waether is all over the map as such looking at purchasing Weather Tech;s DigitalFit floor liner. I am alittle confused as if I look into the 2016 set it only gives me the option for the 1st row, but if I look into the 2015 set it gives me the 1st and 2nd rows to buy. Is there a difference between 2015 and 2016s that I ahve to go with 2016 instead of 2015?

2015 mats won't fit the 2016 models.
If you go OEM the will sell the front and back mats together (in US, don't know about Canada).

Thanks for the quick reply. I am sticking with the Weather Techs as they fit better than the OEMS and have had great success with our main vehicle.

As far as I know, they haven't released the 2016 version yet. 2015 front mats will fit, but not the one on the back.

The problem with the Weather Tech liners is the fact that the outboard anchor points are the lowest part of the liner. As the snow melts it runs straight towards the anchor point, drains right into the hole and soaks the carpeting. It doesn't take a lot of water for this to happen and you would never really notice it's happening. There's a small raised ring around the anchor holes but it's not high enough to be an effective barrier.
It's a flawed design and I'm surprised that the manufacture didn't catch this.

FWIW, the OEM Acura all weather mats work wonderfully. I had them for the last one year and it felt much better and easier to clean than other mats. The edges are raised almost 2" all around so no worries about any fluid spills, the design/ direction of ribbed pattern is much easier to vacuum (those who have kids and vacuum the car themselves will know what I mean ). I don't think you will go wrong by choosing the OEM mats. I haven't used Weathertech mats though.

The 2013-2015 front mats are all the same part #'s as the 2016 and they will fit!! The back will not on the top model since the right front seat frame, right side, does not "fit" the liner. I know..I found out the hard way. That's why they do not list the rear seat mat for the 2016.

I kept my 2013 front mats and put them in my 2016. Same fit...same part #'s as I said.
