First Snow Test This Season
I had a blast today driving my 2016 RDX AWD in the fresh New England snow. The car only has 7,600 miles on her so the OEM tires are like 90% new. In anticipation of the snow I adjusted the PSI to 38 on all four corners. I went on a 20 mile joy ride with the snow coming down fairly steadily. Found some hills to test the AWD system. I would come to a complete stop on unpaved snow and then try to accelerate and move forward. The RDX did quite well!! The RDX handled all of them. I could feel all 4 wheels grabbing. Nice! Of course the traction control kicked in but it really does keep the vehicle in control instead of squirming all over the place. Overall, very pleased. This thing would be a beast in the snow with dedicated snow tires.

My experience with the first New England snow/ice was not so much fun. Second year on OEM tires - 17,000 miles. Car would not stop on unplowed roads. I nearly hit a guard rail and the back of another car. I bought four Blizzak winter tires. !
