Just ran over a small animal which came out of the blue and darted across the road. I felt one of the rear wheels went over part of it. I thought it might have died but it seemed to have crawled away from the road by the next time I drove over there. No damage to the car, but I just gave it a wash anyway .

 

I think that was an accident only from the perspective of the "small animal." I hope it was no one's pet!

Did your AWD kick in to safely guide you over the carcass?

 

It was on a small road with limited visibility. It looked like one of those mongooses / super large squirrel. I don't think it was anyone's pet.

 

When I saw your thread title, I expected to see pix of a banged up RDX
