Cooling Fan

Cooling Fan
When driving around and coming to a stop , or pulling around at a drive thru at fast food, I hear the cooling fan come on then go off again and then like in just a minuet of so it comes back on. It's doing this when the AC is Not on. Just wondering is this normal. Seems the cooling fan is just coming on too much. My coolant level is where it's supposed to be,,just want to know if there is something I am missing.

It is normal for the cooling fans to turn on and off because the ecu is regulating coolant temperature. When it is cold out, the low speed fan should be coming on. When it is hot or when the A/C is on then the high speed fans come on.
Do you have your defroster on? With the defroster on, it will turn on the A/C compressor to dehumidify the air to help clear the windshield which may cause your fans to come on.
If you have a scan tool you can monitor the coolant temp and cooling fan PID's..
