How many outlets are in the car ? maybe I search for the wrong thing but are there at least 2 ?

You should have two. One in the center storage console (inside front section) and one in the front cubby with the sliding cover. I do wish they had added a third one for the rear. There seems to be enough space in the recessed area between the two seats.

I wonder if anyone has seen some sort of extension that can be added to the port in the center storage console to move that further back.

Yes it has two 12v power outlets one in each console compartment. It is not designed to be used with a cigar lighter element. To do so could damage them although I believe if you wanted a cigar lighter you could replace the entire socket to a cigar lighter socket with element.

You could get a 12v socket extension cord with up to four sockets on the other end. Stores like Radio Shack carry them. Possibly even Walmart type stores.

I dont have my ride yet, but i do need it to charge 2 iphones.. sounds good
