You should try the RDX section. You might get more help there.

If it's like any other Acuras, you basically have to remove the glove compartment. What I helped another mod do a little while ago was to Dremel out a hole in the plastic piece behind the glove compartment so we would not have to remove the glove compartment to remove the cabin filter.

I've decided to be generous. The following link is for a 2008, but it applies to your 2013 as well.

I saw a video in youtube but is for a 2012 rdx and is completely different from mine, I don't want to mess really with it because is my wife's car, if it was mine I will not hesitate to do it and save a bundle.

Am I missing something here. He is in the RDX section. And you are wrong about the glove compt. and changing the cabin filter.
I already wrote a thread on changing the filter. Just read down a few lines on the RDX '13 section and I explained it fully, since I did it myself.
There is NO cutting needed whatsoever!! Period.
So, read my piece on it and you will learn how to do it. It's easy...5 minutes or less.
I did it. And I'm no engineer!! Just well trained.

You will be wasting too much money. Go to the location that the message before yours shows. Click on it. That is my piece on explaining how to change it...and how easy it is. If you would do it for "yours" why can't you change your wife's??
Anyway....it is EASY. Don't be afraid. Just open your Owner's Manual and find where it shows how to remove the shelf that is in the glove compartement. That is simple to do. Shine a light in the back and you will see a trap door. Open it. There is the front of the filter compartment. Open the front door and slide out the filter. How much easier can it get?? Just pay attention so you don't get in a hurry and break any of the plastic by applying the wrong force when opening things. No big deal. You will thank all of us after you do it one time.
IF money is no object, then have the dealer do it. But, what a waste of money.
Take care!

There are pictures showing the process for a MDX here. I guess this is very similar to the RDX air filter replacement...

Takes longer to empty glove box than the actual filter change!!
