Bought 2018 RDX from dealer loaner stock
Greetings All,
I bought an RDX with 8700 miles, which was a dealer loaner. Carfax showed they were the only owner. Just curious, when I was signing the paperwork, they tried to hit me with a $990 destination fee. When I saw that, I started a walk out. He said "All Acura dealers charge this". A destination charge is to transport a new car from the factory, this fee was paid by the dealer when they took ownership.
Was the salesman trying to pull a fast one? I wound up having them remove it from the bill. TIA, CH

If the car you are buying is sold as a used car, then you should not pay for destination fee. The fee should be paid by the initial first owner, in this case it should be the dealer. I believe that the dealer was trying to pull a fast one on you, Luckily you saw it and had them remove it.
