Apple CarPlay on 2017 RDX Two Screen Trim

Have been wanted to do this for a while and finally bit the bullet. The end results are pretty good. Just wanted to share my experience hoping to save people some time as they don't need to try what didn't work.
I ordered one of those good reviewed unit from AliExpress for about $230. It arrived well packed and with good wire diagrams but not many instructions. I was inspired by one of the members here who shared his installation of the NavTool unit on his RDX. I also watched a lot of youtube videos installing on their MDX. All of them put the unit under the original car radio. So I assumed that the unit must fit there. BIG MISTAKE! The MDXs have much more space underneath and the original NavTool unit was much smaller!
I spent 4-5 hours carefully taking out the existing radio, connecting cables of the CarPlay unit and testing it, all worked well. Then I put everything together (including screws!) , leaving the CarPlay unit at the bottom, assuming I can squeeze it in before I close the bottom panel. WRONG! I spent a few hours, moving cables around, unplugging and re-plugging, nothing worked.
In despair, I recalled that there was a YouTube video (by bri4n) who put the unit in the glovebox. It turned out to be pretty straightforward! But I had to take everything apart to start over. LOL.
Now CarPlay, iPhone mirroring, playing music and videos from USB drive all work. It uses the built in microphone, and AUX speaker output. Very well integrated with the original system. Attached are a couple photos.Hope this help at least one person. (The scratches on the box in the second photo was caused by me trying to squeeze in the box under the radio but failed. LOL)

Found a cool feature. There is a TF card slot beside the dips (see the last picture above) which is actually working! I put in a 32GB FAT32 micro-SD card with mp3 music and mp4 video files. They can be played through the music and video players (except for some mp4 files due to format issues). 32GB could be the limit as my other 64GB card didn't work. This is undocumented and even the product support didn't know it would work when I inquired about it. LOL

Somehow the pictures were lost. Re-posted.
