Was your pilot lease quote so high due to negative equity ?

Thanks! Nope, no negative equity. My Accord is a Touring with 14,800 miles on it. Honda said supply/demand and no incentives. Acura gave me $1000 equity for my car. Honda said I was even. I think they were using it as a lease turn in rather than a trade. The Pilot was way too big for me anyway. It all worked out in the end. 😊

I have never been in a land cruiser. But an $80,000 plus Toyota... hmmmm. I guess it should have a decent interior.

Don't ever get in one.

Just don't.

Unless you're prepared (and from your stories, you might actually be!) to take it home. Sort of like a RLX Shport Hybread, I guess. The LC is pretty much it's own thing; like a Maybach is vaguely a Mercedes but not really.

This is perhaps one of the best commentaries on the Cruiser I've read. I succinctly summarizes what the LC is and why it is: Why The Toyota Land Cruiser Is So Expensive

For example, the only options available when shopping for a LC is: Buy or Don't Buy. Everything is standard (well, minus accessories, but you get the idea).

A good read, IMO.

Sorry for the tangent.

Hi again all! I just wanted to let you know that I checked the dealer's website today and my RDX is now in the inventory! It is in transit and should be here in about 7-10 days! I am praying no flaws or leather "issues". Then they will put the accessories on it (tint, rear bumper applique, all weather mats). The jury is still out on the illuminated door LED trim. I am buying the cargo tray and first aid kit from oemacuraparts.com or eBay. I am scheduled to take delivery on 10/31! Will post pics soon!

My parents have a 2003 Lexus LX470 with about 200K miles. More of a weekend car for them now as they purchased a newer vehicle. This thing is definitely a beast and still runs like new. Probably why it wasn't traded in.

The Honda's are nice. What they do.. they do very well. But you'll like the RDX. Its just *more* in every way. (we have a 15CRV for wife/family and a 16RDX tech for me)

And if you drive at night you will love the headlights. The power to weight ratio is much better and the refinements for 16 have really stepped up the RDX. You won't regret it.

That's really exciting! I'm sure you will be pleased with this fine, luxury vehicle. You will be happy you got the fully loaded version. I'm kinda wishing I got the LED door entry thingy. Are they welcome lights?

Nice Bamagirl! It is purely subjective, but I think you should consider the chrome door trim as an accessory...would look good with the black finish IMO.

All weather floor mats are a real life saver with winter coming. Are you going to keep XM radio? It can be really nice if you travel a lot, especially in areas where reception is spotty or dead.

The sales manager is throwing in all-weather mats. I'm also gonna add a cargo tray and first aid kit from oemacuraparts.com

They tried so hard to sell me the "blanket" kit. It will add $65 to my lease payment. I take excellent care of my vehicles so I think I'm gonna pass on that especially when I read the other thread on warranties.

I drove it today and all I can say is

You will be very pleased with the fully loaded 2016 RDX. Some things about the vehicle you might discover:

It has the best information display screens and control panel in the business. It just gives you so many options, always more than one way to do things.

Voice command is amazing once you learn the key commands. There is a help feature you can go to that lists the voice commands in the vehicle. Apparently there are 3000 voice commands. WOW!

There is a button to lock all doors in the car in the power lift gate, to the right of the button to open the power lift gate.

On the key fob, if you hold down the "unlock button", the car will open all windows and moonroof at the same time. This is useful on really hot days to get rid of the green house effect in the car.

You will get many stares. When I'm at a red light and pedestrians are crossing, many people will stare at the vehicle (especially girls). It's just a beautiful, beautiful vehicle.

Enjoy the thrill of the ride. Drive like a boss!

Nice accessories on the RDX there. I like the drive like a boss slogan. But one problem I have with the commercial is they could have and should have used a hotter woman.

It's here!!

Hi again all!! As promised, here are a few pics. We have had a bad storm system since yesterday so they aren't of great quality. I will take some when the sun comes out. I must say my favorite accessory by far is the Illuminated Door Trim. It is gorgeous against the black interior!

^^^ The black exterior is IMO the nicest choice for the RDX, and the only one with a sporty-ish look. Congratulations Bamagirl!

Currently owning a older black RDX, I could only do it again if I could keep it in the garage (it's at the bottom end of the garage priority list) - just gets too dirty too fast. Even though black/black is my fave.

btw that Joe Bullard license plate frame is so funny it's almost worth keeping!

But that decal has to go (as well as the frame). And the "unlock" decal - something new?

The "unlock" decal came with my purchase on 10/3/2015, too.

Love the splash guards. Installed mine this morning.

OP, most other interior/exterior accessories are really up to personal tastes, but you should highly consider the OEM floor mats. We don't see much snow (I live in GA and yes the wet weather has been awful the past week) but dirt, water, and sand does get in. Nobody likes sand in our personal spaces.

I plan to get rid of the plate frame and the lock/unlock decal as soon as the weather permits. I never like dealer decals on my cars. I usually ask them not to put them on, but my RDX was here before I knew it. LOL. The sales manager gave me all weather mats, but my salesman gave me MDX mats by mistake so I have to take those back and swap them out for the RDX mats. I sure could have used them these last two days. The slash guards add a nice touch.

Is it a lock/unlock decal? I don't think that button unlocks. Seems odd to have a decal pointing out a button (why not put them on the doors as well then?) but maybe few people realize the button is there.

It has always astonished me that so many people retain the dealer frames and/or fail to remove decals. Why pay so much money to turn your vehicle into a dealership billboard? But, they get away with it, proving once again that they take us for the fools many of us are. Weathertech, by the way, offers a very nice frame. A bit spendy ($14) but very nice looking.

When I bought my S2000 some years ago from Priority Acura in Virginia, it had a big dealer decal. After we agreed on a price and shook hands, I told them it would cost them $1000 for an advertising fee or they wouldn't get my check. They laughed...but quickly removed the decal.

Those of us who are getting a bit long in the tooth can remember the days when the dealer would drill a couple of holes somewhere in the back of the car and plug in a metal dealer nameplate. And did they put anything in the holes to prevent rust? Nooooooooooooooooo!

Heating them up with a hair dryer works well, especially when they are new. Then a little isopropyl alcohol to get rid of adhesive residue that might remain.

Here are some pics of the new tint. It is still very cloudy. I will post better pics when I can. Also, to all who suggested I lose the decal....
