Accessory prices
Everyone talks about negotiating the price of the RDX down from the MSRP. My question is, how much can you negotiate accessories? I will be adding the Protection package (wheels locks, all weather mats, cargo tray), splash guards, roof rail, cross bars, sport runners, and possibly fog lights. The website mentions prices, but can these be negotiated or are they pretty set in stone?

Everything is negotiable. I suggest you check out the prices on some of the internet OEM parts dealers mentioned in other posts (I used Park Acura). Their prices are obviously not true dealer cost but would be a good target price. If the dealer won't meet them, buy those accessories that are easy to install via the internet and pay the higher price for the others (roof rails, fog lights, step bars) with the car.

I plan on purchasing an RDX within the next month and I've been doing some dealer comparison shopping. I have gotten 2 dealers to agree on giving me the protection package for free and giving me dealer cost on the rest of my desired accessories.

For whatever reason my dealer set some really insane accessory prices if I wanted them at delivery (and generally speaking you would, for warranty purposes). For instance they actually charged installation for floor mats. I questioned the salesman and he basically shook his head. Also the installation for the running boards and roof racks were basically the same price as the material price. Meaning if the racks themselves cost $500 the installed price was $1000.
I specifically mentioned this when I did my Acura survey because I thought it was a bit excessive. Definitely make sure you get everything in writing and good luck.

Thats insane. I decided I have to go non tech to save money, but looks like putting the roof rack and sport runners is gonna end up costing $2000 with installation. If they dare charge me installation for the FLOOR MATS I may hit them with a chair (fun fact, I'm a pro wrestler on weekends so I'm used to hitting people with chairs).

The accessories are ridiculously expensive. I ordered floor mats, side molding and splash guards and installed everything in less than 1.5 hours. Stupid molding took most of the time. Also, got a bit stuck with the rear splash guards.
Anyway, I would like to get the running boards installed, but those seem way too much (with installation). I have not been able to muster up enough courage to do it myself.
Roof rails look nice, but I do not have any use for them.

I was definitely tempted to hit the salesperson with a chair when they mentioned installation for the floor mats. I mean it was probably 25 or 30 bucks but that's on top of MSRP. Most folks know you can get 20-30% below MSRP if you order accessories online.
For what it's worth I paid $1000 even for my running boards, installed. I think they wanted $1100. I would have pushed harder but I really wanted them because they're such a help getting anyone with mobility issues into the RDX.
