2016 Facelift front bumper interchangeable?
Was wondering if anyone know if the facelift front bumper is interchangeable with the pre-facelift models (2013-2015)?
I can see that the grill and fogs shapes seems different, but is the rest the same (headlights, hood, fender)?
Thanks

The simple answer is no. Interchangeable parts means swapping out parts that are the same or so close that you cannot tell them apart or no modification is require.
What you're really asking is can a 2013/15 be upgrade to the 2016 body style. I believe the answer is yes but with some minor modifications. Some of the panel mounting holes/nuts may be missing or in different spots. The deal breaker is going to be the hood latch to hood striker location. You should take a few measurements to confirm that that location is in the same spot (I believe that they are). The other thing is the headlamps, you might need to use the 2016. Although, you are going to be upgrading the whole frontend with 2016 parts with the exception of the fenders.
Electrical wise you will probably need to splice in the connector sockets on the car side of the wire loom.
Also don't forget the cost of refinishing the new parts.
To recap, it's doable but, very expensive.

Thanks for the input... yes, that's what I meant, upgrading a 2013-2015 to the 2016-2017 front bumper.
I was hoping it was basically swapping out the different components/parts... like the 06-08 to 09-11 Civic does... they only need to change the bumper/grill/headlights.
The reason I'm asking is since I'm replacing the bumper already, why not go to 2016-2017 bumper style.

The grill and headlamps will determine if you need to change everything else or not. If the 2016 bumper and grill lines up with the 2013/15 headlamps then you're good to go. Otherwise then you will need the 2016 headlamps and hood also.

Was hoping someone with actual experience would chime in here...
Also to note, looks like the 07-09 MDX and its facelift 10-13 are direct bolt-on too (according to a user on mdxers)... so the RDX might have a big chance everything is direct bolt-on too.

IMO it is doable, but it may not be easy. I know you were hoping someone who has done it already would chime in, but as often is the case with things like this, you are walking into new territory. Like you mentioned with the 2007-2009 and 2010-2013 mdx swap, I have seen others swap 2004-2007 and 2008-2010 VW Touareg front ends along with a multitude of other brands. Usually the facelift model only requires you change out a couple parts, rarely do they touch the hood or fenders or location of sensors and even the bolt locations are usually the same as well. If you can look at a parts diagram and compare them it would be very helpful for you.
