Looking at going with weather tech. They are finally out for The 2016. Anyone recommend an alternate?

Also seat covers. Those beautiful leather seats get hot in the summer. Need to cover them up. Any recommendations? From and rear.

The one downside of using seat covers is that you don't get to enjoy the beautiful leather seats.
Tint your windows and use a sun reflector screen while parked.

 

Only alternative is the OEM mats which I like a lot more. The weathertechs are hard molded plastic. They do the job but I like the OEM rubbers. As for seat covers don't know anything for the front but there's always the OEM rear seat cover. No guess I'm a sucker for OEM parts and quality. Plus I get em at employee discount.

 

I went with the Novline floor mats for the 2013-2015 RDX, should fit in the 2016 RDX also. Got it on amazon.ca for $160 Canadian (doesn't include cargo mat). It's about $100 Canadian less than the Weathertech.

 

The rear mat on the 2016 is different from the one that goes on 2013-15, because of the different front seat mountings and rails. The old OEM doesn't fit, but I don't know about after markets.

 

I cancelled the Novline mat order. Went to the Acura dealer and bought the floor mats and cargo mats with RDX logo

 

Rockboy at its finest moment. Made a decision without checking, provide recommendation without thinking, and now you have to correct your mistakes. Lucky giovane caught your mistake so others don't follow.

Back to the Question:

I got the OEM car mats. I know they can catch dirt but I am not sure if they can hold water based on the way the locking tabs work. I will have to wait a few months before I can tell you.
