Recent weather events combined with some luck in selling my 9th gen civic allowed me the opportunity to acquire a 2013 RDX FWD Base with 105k miles for very little $$$ out of pocket. Here is a more detailed breakdown:
Base price: $12,500
Fees & Taxes: $1,500
Maint & repairs: $1,800 --> previous owner did not have detailed records so I took it to my Honda/Acura mechanic for service
---------------------------------
TOTAL $15,800
The "maintenance & repairs" consists of:
I will probably need front shocks sometime soon, but that is a problem for another time. The car is in overall great shape and feels like a major upgrade compared to what I had before.
You got a car that should have many more miles of reliable service, and you know it's baseline service history for important fluids and timing belt. Sounds great to me, enjoy it! .
Good deal the RDX...not so much on the service IMO. Was the RDX leaking oil? If not...IMO, you wasted $431. Also, the 2013 RDX does not have a power steering pump...so there's no way they replaced an o-ring for the low-side inlet.
Without even reading the thread I should say that you did great on the purchase. LOL.
But after reading this, looks like you got most of the major things covered already. Doing service from Honda was great since it basically saved you money vs services at Acura.
Yes it’s a major upgrade from the civic. I have owned several civics in past (still have one 2008) before the RDX and love them for their tech upscale, frugal and fun to drive nature.
Congratulations.
