NSX Type-S Sold Out Within 24 Hours
Apparently Acura sold out the entire 300-unit US allocation of the 2022 NSX Type-S in just 24 hours. Only chance to own one now is to get on the waitlist and hope orders are cancelled:

Not surprising, I expected it to quickly sell out (although maybe within a month or so not less than 1 day). If I had the cash I would have certainly gotten one. Although this is good news for Acura, I really wish they would have:
1. Either added the Type-S or done the facelift to the base model 3+ years earlier. All of the other Acura models dropped the detested shield/blade grille years ago, and the flagship model should have been the first one to do so. The NSX Type-S car is absolutely stunning, especially in the matte gray.
2. Extended the production for another three years and increased the count to 500 examples a year. Audi has been milking the R8 for years, and even the original NSX was sold for a decade and a half. Even six years on the NSX is still very performance competitive with any other car in its price range, except maybe the Turbo S. Also, Acura seemed to learn too late that exclusivity means a lot for buyers of $100K+ cars. Pretty much every other high-end sports car has multiple "special editions" to boost sales.
