I have a 2001 Cl Type S, i believe tranny is on its way out..... my question is whats the best auto swap? and what exactly would i need?? PLEASE SOMEONE REPLY!!!!!!

I'm looking to buy a 2003 type S and its a beautiful car. However, all these stories of the Tranny going out. I will be passing on this. Such a wonderful car besides that.

I hope you can get it fixed or resolved in the cheapest way.

 

I had similar problems and after the 3rd transmission replacement the service tech at the dealer told me about a solution another customer presented that I then acted upon. I replaced the transmission fluid with AMS Oil high performance transmission fluid rather than the factory fluid. It totally fixed the slipping problem and I haven't had any issues since. I drive the car pretty hard on occasion and everything has held together strong.
I would recommend changing out your transmission fluid with the AMS Oil product.
