first tranny went at 70k. i had it replaced no charge to me. this one is a different story. it started out like all the other peoples problems...took a while to get into reverse and then from reverse to drive. then slippage from 3rd to 4th...then 2nd to 3rd...then no grasp. dealership said 5500. then i told them i could only afford 3...they didn't care. i got an independent quote at 2800 for a rebuild with a 3 year/36 warranty which is like a year and a half for me since i drive 20k a year. anyway, im in texas. anyone hear of any deals going on? anyone have any good people that can rebuild for less. im sort of in a bind here. im driving my boss' saab...not born from jets. haha. thanks.
