Time for Tranny #4, Time for Lawyer?

I just lost my 3rd transmission, and frankly, Im starting to get really pissed. I had my ECU replaced as per the service bulliten at 50,000 miles (Since i lost my original tranny at 20,000 miles), and then lost my tranny 2,000 miles later. So at 52,000 miles, I had a new tranny and new ECU, so I figure everything would be great now. Fast forward to the future, at 57,000 miles, my tranny went again.

Are any of you guys going onto your 4th tranny? What have you done??? Thanks guys....

Refer to my link... "My BBB case" .. you should fall under the lemon law in your state. Go to google, and type "Lemon law lawyers new jersey" and you'll find a list of lawyers that specialize in your situation (i.e. automotive cases)

Many firms will not charge you a dime until they collect from the defendant (i.e. Acura) .. and they base whether or not they'll take your case on the strength of your case. I think you have a great case. Please do refer to my link to read about all my frustrations with filing w/ the BBB (who got me nothing) and w/ Acura.

What excuse could he POSSIBLY have for you?

I'm not here to blow smoke up Acura's a$$, but I think you probably have an installation issue rather than an outright failure. I have over 21k miles on my new tranny and PCM and I abuse the everloving shi+ out of my car. It also has over 15 passes at the track... Dropping after 2k miles post install seems ridiculous...

r10 -- your point that spans multiple forums is valid, and well-taken,
but does it make it "ok" for his third tranny to fail on him? Dealer install problem, or inherent transmission failure...
