Time for new tranny

Well it finally happened to me, although in much less dramatic form than what i have read from everyone else. I took my car in for its 45,000 mile service yesterday. They resurfaced the rotors and replaced the brake pads for me as well. I told them about the high pitched sound i have been hearing, they called back and said that it was from an internal tranny problem. So they ordered me a new one and will replace it as well as give me a loaner, no charge. Car still runs fine, so I guess at the very least I don't have to go through the hassle of breaking down before the problem was caught.

Thought i would get away with not being affected by the this tranny issue, but I have no complaints about the way they are dealing with it. Oh well

I'd have to agree. My tranny died at my office parking lot, acura TLC came and picked me and my car up, had a loaner for a week. wasn't inconvenienced in any way especially since my loaner was a TL-S. Happy tranny to you!

Well at least they found out while you were in the shop and not on the road. Drive that loaner like you stole it.
