So, my 2nd transmission died last night. It lasted 1 year and 12000 miles. My question is: are the new transmissions actually any better? I am confused because there are some comments saying Acura made design upgrades, but on the other hand there seem to be many failures on "new" transmissions!
Also, there are many comments relating to getting "good-will" coverage for transmission fixes after 100,000 miles--what about after 7 years? My 7 years is up in 3 months. It seems like if they replace my transmission now, they should have to guarantee it for more than 3 months (even though it isn't their official policy).

My second trans lasted only 31K miles. It was part number 06200-PGF-060C1RM. The new PCM with part number 37820-PGE-315RM was installed at the same time.
The third tranny had a different part number. It is part number 06200-PGF-080RM.
So, it appears that there has been a revision between the two trannys.
What tranny part number does everyone else have? Which failed?

my invoice shows 06200-PGF -090RM for the AT Kit but the trans has 06200- PGF -080RM, however, my mounts look different (engine and trans) than the ones that were in there with the old trans. Also the ECM shows 37802-PGF--A62RM
