What are the chances that this recall is a ploy to put in the cooler kit inorder to get the trannies to 100K and out of warranty? Considering that the letter states it will probably take a day, but when you make the appointment they said it would only take an hour. Seems to me that unless your tranny is broke they are just gonna throw the kit on and call it a day. In that case, I would rather drive onthe old tranny and let it blow and then get a new one. BTW I have an appointment for Friday. Cross fingers...

 

We already know that this is just a band aid for a much bigger problem.

 

just face the fact that ur going to have to replace the trans at least once, thiers nothing we can do to stop it.

Boy This Pisses Me Off More Every Day $^*%*&%

 

I don't see this type of crap from the BMW dealership. They don't give me crap about it will only take an hour (hint: sit your ass down) but rather ask if I need a loaner or ride somewhere. And I didn't even buy my car from that dealership. Not only that but they replaced my tranny for free, even though it was not anything performance related. The stick sometimes didn't return to neutral... not a mechanical breakdown. I will never buy an Acura again. Still contemplating whether or not i should let them put the oil cooler kit in. I'm better off waiting until the POS craps out and getting a new tranny. urgh.
