Question for those who have had tranny problems

How did your problems start? Some wierd crap just started up in my car last week and I just dropped it off today to be serviced. I've been having problems with my idle.....the car won't go into vtec range in automatic, and sometimes when i come to an abrupt stop, it feels like something is "thudding" under my car. Kinda like i'm being rear-ended....

I guess we'll see....

I was just curious on how everyone elses problems started....

Just pulling out of a parking lot, stepped on the gas, TAC goes to 4000rpm and the car continues to coast on momentum. It pretended it was in neutral 3 or 4 more times in the next 10 miles. After 15 minutes the car was undriveable and the check engine light and VSA light came on. Doesn't sound like everyone's went this quickly.
