i have 142000 miles on my car 1st tranny is it safe to change my fluid????

 

From what I have seen pop up several times on this site, if it is an automatic, changing your transmission fluid once per year is a safe bet.

The schedule says to do the transmission fluid at 120,000 mi/6 yrs
then every 90,000 mi/5 yrs after that.
