PLEASE READ_Transmission

I bought my 2003 CLS last week. I have 78,000 miles on it and Honda Corporate told me they believe it was still on its original transmission. A few days ago the 2nd to 3rd upshift got really rough. Then downtown last night looking for parking it was really jerky. I parked it for a few hours and when I started it again, it was fine for a few miles then started getting really jerky again and slipping between upshifts. Should i drop it off at the dealership in the morning or have it towed there? I'd like some input. Thanks

If you have AAA coverage, I'd just have it towed. Otherwise, if it's close, just drive it over, you should probably make it. The transmission is covered under warranty anyway.

I drove mine around for two weeks like that (thats a long story in itself), just be cautious if you can't get it towed, I used sport shift to get it into 4th when it wouldn't engage in 3rd.

My transmission started to jerk, I took it to Acura and they inspected it and said they would order a new on. The machanic told me I could drive my car until the new tranny came in, I told him I didn't want to drive my car with a busted tranny so he gave me a TSX loaner. With that being said you sould be safe driving it to the dealer to get your new tranny.
