Hey everyone, my question is for those who have done the odyssey tranny swap has it held up or did you end up with another failed transmission? Also what is the difference between the stock cl trans and the odyssey?

 

I wasn't aware you could do this. My 01 CLS auto is on its third trans. The first one was replaced under warranty recall, and then the second one died after just 17k miles. My car is just at 106K miles now, and I don't have very much confidence in the trans.

which gen odyssey? my mom has an 02 with about 240,000 miles, and she had it rebuilt recently, and i think when she first got it under warranty. but from what i here all the auto trans for the v6 motors are trash, odyssey accord tl cl, as far as the newer gen acuras and hondas, well soon find out how good they are. i here if you get a trans cooler for the auto's they last much longer. this guy had one for his super charged cl at honda day this year, said he was on his 3rd trans, but with the cooler it has lasted longer and feels much better.

 

I would like to know this as well.

 

Would also like to see how anyone else's Odyssey swap is holding up on their CLs...
