that noise
that noise
does everyones tranny make that noise when you shift from park to drive or reverse and then again when you start to go forward,my old tranny did it every time ,i got new tranny today it did not do it the first few times, then it started it again
Yes that "cluncking" noise is normal. To ease the noise and stress on your tranny, if your parking on an incline, make sure to put your emergency brake on "BEFORE" you put it in park, otherwise your putting 3,500 lbs. on the transmission. Do you understand ? In other words, when you don't put the emergency brakes on, and you put it in park and you notice the car will roll forward or backwards "against" the transmission, thus creating a B A N G, CLUNK, when you put it in either R or D5.......understand what I'm saying ?
