My tranny was only burping once every two weeks, but it happened about 5-6 times so I took it in. They said the tranny fluid was a bit dirty but not enough that they were concerned about it.

Now of course you don't want to wait TOO long and risk a 5->2
downshift. But since there isn't any obvious indication in the computer that your tranny is going, taking it too soon is bad too.

So I'm a bit curious, how long did you wait before your dealer
gave the OK to fix the tranny? Do you have to wait until it happens almost every time? Or until your tranny fluid is pretty nasty looking? Maybe I should just check the fluid every now
and then.
