I definitely liked my 3.2 CL. I am however, thinking of what I should do now, especially after reading all these failed transmission stories. Should I...

-Attempt to trade in the CL somewhere, (and get $15K if I'm lucky out of my original $25K that I paid for the car originally... only after two years of owning it) and cut my losses now while we still can? (which really isn't much of a choice).

-Keep going with the CL, and eventually get an aftermarket transmission when the 100,000 warranty runs out?

-Cry like a big b*tch for the rest of my life.

 

it probably makes sense to at least shop for cars. drive lots of things that appeal to you. if you find something you like and can negotiate an acceptable deal - buy it. if you find something you like and can't negotiate an acceptable deal - walk away. it gives you added power during negotations. you don't HAVE to buy.

although.... you may find something else you REALLY like. then you may HAVE to buy anyway.

Im in the same boat as you...i want rid of my cl though it hasnt given me any problems...though i'm gonna have to loose a lot of money...like 3-5k...the constant worries about the god damn tranny has made me say enough...i am also considering just buying another vehicle and being fucked over out of 400 a month a have my cl sit and drive it once and a while...maybe try to sell it out right, but anyone who does research on these pieces of shit will find out not to buy them...it really sucks...im sooooooo pissed off and i'll never buy an acura again...i would say get rid of the damn thing...its really not worth it...anyway we are pretty much all fucked

I am sorry your tranny let you down..As i mentioned on another thread, as
a consumer, i'd be fricking pissed if the company didn't at least take care of
it's customers.. i give Lexus high marks for this..i've had great support from
them...
My CL-S has 32K on it and i drive it roughly 7K a year now so...hopefully
have a long life before moving on...
I've got to tell you though, the Acura dealers in my area sort of suck when
it comes to appearance though...kind of dumpy looking..and here i thought
Acura was suppose to be the cream of Honda...I'd be embarassed if i was
head of that company....and this is So. Cal! Capital of B.S. and lot's of money...
