Does Acura warranty new trannys?

Does Acura warranty new trannys?
I recently bought an 01 cls with 81k miles. The previous owner told me that the tranny went out and was replaced by acura free of charge last year. Do you guys know if, and how long, this new transmission is warrantied? Or how I can find out?

i just bought a 01 cl a last week and it has 66,700 miles. i dont think the tranny was replaced (no problems yet) and the warranty that the original owner has already expired. if the tranny needs to be replaced, would i have to pay for it?

Go to acura.com and register for acuras owners link. Have your vin ready. After you register (free) it will tell you any info stored on your car and tell you if your still eligible for the extended warranty
