DOA June 2006 at 176000 kilometers (110K miles)
I'm second owner and this is MY first tranny failure. Replaced totally at my expense with no sympathy from the dealership. I'm 16K (10,000 miles) over the warranty and (get this) I missed a fluid change so that's why it failed. I plan to write to corporate HQ. Does anyone have any experience with going over the dealer's head?

166,500 - AND IT WAS THE FIRST TRANNY
Actually died in the Acura dealership. To my amazement, Acura is paying for 50% of the replacement. how that worked I am not sure, but I am driving a loaner 06 TL till it is done, and only have to pay half. Thank you Clair Acura North.

Replaced tranny at 126 K
Yes, it went way beyond the 15K mark - luck us. Reman has been in for 6K and already has us worried. Like the other poster who almost made it to 100K, we put on LOTS of miles/year, but mostly highway cruising. Easy on the tran.
The down side to making it past 100K? WE paid for the reman. Still- - love the car.
