Your PM box is full and I need to message you about this...

BSK181:

Could you do me a favor and clean out your PM (inbox? sent? other?) to allow me to send you a message via PM about this topic?

Transmission noise on cls2001 How far to go?

as of the last hundred miles I am hearing this transmission noise but I can still hear the news on the radio...How far can I go without running into the nightmares I am hearing on the forum.
My 2001 Cls automat. has now 55000miles and indeed I strated noticing various oddities ( shift not responding) with the transmission long long ago but my trust in Honda was greater than my fear.
Should I park the car and rent one ....will the extended warranty that I hear about cover me this expense ?
It's friday night and I have to log 1000miles in the next three days...
Help !

You might want to consider the safety of a nice new rental car in top condition. I would be concerned about having symptoms and "traveling"... (that's just me).

Hard to diagnose noises (how loud) by internet.

Can you take it to a "good" dealer?

OK Thank you of your advice.
I have followed it and got myself to the far dealership who directed me to the rental car company. I have lost the day but not all my faith in Honda.
I have trusted the company for years and I do not believe they would emulate the Ford Pinto story of years ago.
I just hope that I am not given the run around when they decide what to do on Monday. I do not have time for this neither the monies to waste. I will be pro active in this matter from now on. if I do not get a new transmission I will have no choice but taking a legal pursuit.
From now on I will be glued to the many consumer sites which are so sadly documenting this engineering if not corporate misdoing.
My trust in Honda/Acura is shaken until Monday and no more I hope!
Sincerely,
Photoman
