well after 30K of intermittent problems such as

1. 3-4 gear slam when it is 95F or hotter outside
2. 4-3-4 shift aka the pulse
3. 1 sec pauses between 2-3 shifts when cold
4. 4 fluid changes in 30K miles
5. Blinking D5

The acura dealer was finally able to pull the P1709 code from the trans control module and voilla new trans for me. They were caught a little off guard since I did get a loaner but it was dirty and 1/2 tank of gas lol

they said if I am lucky they get trans tomorrow and I get car on monday. car has 70K on it andi bought it with 40K and out of those 30K more than a third of the milage is from road trips to MI and back

oh and this is trans #2 for this car the original one just dies

i got this information from the dealer

they did indicate that the oil jet kit was installed in June 2004

well I called dealer since it has been a week and they said car will be ready tomorrow.

and my loaner was a 08 TL with 6800 miles on it. hadn't even had it's first oil change......

....glad ur ride is ready to go... i bet that TL was pimp... I have rolled 2 different TL's while my car was in the shop for repairs...love the stereo compared with the CL... I have enjoyed mine more since I got it fixed

ahhha I am still rolling the TL lol and it's getting mad at me saying "SERVICE DUE NOW" in the MID..........lol

You know I called the dealer and told them that this car was complaining about an oil change and I OFFERED to bring it in after work so they could take care of it and they said "It'll be fine"...........
