2003 acura cl type s auto trans question
I've been reading and reading about the horrific transmission stories for these cars. Yet for some reason I'm still kind of interested in buying one. I found one for sale for 5500, it's 2003 ACURA CL-S AUTO, with 140,000 miles. Fully loaded, clean inside and out, transmission was replaced at 130,xxx. Is it worth buying?
My biggest concern is the transmission going out again. Even though it was replaced recently, it's still a concern. But what if I did regular transmission fluid exhange every 30,000 miles or more often? Would that help the transmission last? Or is the transmission just bound to go out regardless even if the transmission fluid change is done regularly?
And for the people that have problem with the transmission going out, is it because you guys were driving it hard and not keeping up with the regular transmission fluid exhange every 30,000 miles? Just wondering, any help would be great, thanks guys!
