I have a 2001 CL-S, bone stock, original Acura wheels, I'm a little tight on funds these days so I'm looking at used tires. I found almost new (500 km's) Goodyear's size 225/55R17 for $ 350, would these be a good fit?

Too tall...will look silly!! Try to find 245/45-17 (same height as stock 215/50) look much better!!

This may make things easier for you. When buying tires, make sure to check out the manufacturers specs as well. Even though they may be advertised as a 235/40, they may be slightly smaller or slightly bigger. They round to the nearest tire size.

Thanks for the replies, I found some new tires (215-50R17) for under $ 500 installed balanced etc made by Sumitomo. I never heard of that brand, any good?

Theyre made by Goodyear. Ive heard of them, Ive never run them though.
