worried about my tein install

Well, I atemted the install and did the rear first along with a rear camber kit. Everything seemd to go ok until I set it on the ground. First thing I noticed was that the car was really bouncy and I said that cant be. Then since my seats were still out I lookd in the back and noticed that the silver shaft on the upper mount was moving up and down along with the car!!! for EX: if you were to push the car down the silver shaft moves upward and does not stay in place. PLEASE someone help I have no idead what I did wrong. I installed everything according to the instuctions. I had to of dome something so dumb please someone help!!!
Thanks guys I hope some one will chime in and help me out with this.

Coil overs? Sounds like you either forgot the "collar" or you need to just tighten the nut more.

I had my coilovers installed by a shop and they were just fine. I had an unrelated problem with the contol arm from before the install, and when that changed and resolved, seems like the dealer didn't put the coilovers back the way they were originally. Now it sounds like an orchestra when I drive over small bumps. I have to go back to the original shop who did the install and have them tighten or reinstall the damn suspension. oh well, hope that helps.

Sounds like the upper mount is not setup correctly. Are you using NiteQwill's instructions? Search for that thread where he did a step-by-step walk-through of spring installation and follow those instructions. They are nearly-perfect.

Search for DIY AND springs with NiteQwill as author.
