Will these fit our cars

I know a pair of these on for DRs or High performance street tires will knock off a lot of time at the track.

why would u wanna use those>? they cant be very light for 15's n e way bolt and offset are good but doubt they;ll clear the breaks... get somethink ultra light in a 16 like the SSR competition and some DRs and you'll be in good shape

um.... WHY!?

very ugly... to small diameter and width wise.. not a smart upgrade.. more like a stupid downgrade.

um.....can you not tell from my orginal post that these are just for the track. They only weigh about 11 or 12 lbs. Not plan on daily driving these, just want a pair for the track. Plus they would be way cheaper than SSR wheels wit tires.

Do you think the smaller diameter wheel and tire will reduce wheel hop? I am not sure if you are still dealing that that issue or not so I am curious.

Naw I never really have issues wit wheel hop, I think the wheel hop is a driver thing. I cut a 2.0 60ft at the track friday. The smalley lighter rims like these will free up top end speed to improve track times. Like if you tapping consistant 99mph on stock wheels, these lighter wheels will change that to maybe like 102mph.

I was thinking about putting some of those rims on my car.
They weigh like 15.5 lbs, which is pretty light, and they look good.
How much do stock cl rims weigh?

I have those in 18s.

Honestly just get SSR Comps in 17 X 8s. You'll be shaving drastically alot of weight and have more contact with the surface. I think they weigh around 14-15 lbs a piece.

Smallest wheel you can fit is a 16. Anything smaller won't clear the brakes.

Talking

FWIW you wont gain 3mph from wheels alone, unless you are running really heavy wheels already.

There are guys with 80whp more than you that barely trap 102mph.

One thing to remember is that not many companies make drag radials in skinny sizes. So, make sure you know size tire and brand you want before buying wheels.

And also, wheelhop is NOT a driver issue. It may vary from car to car, but trust me I can drive and there was no way to aggressively launch, even on DR's, without wheelhop in my car.

I doubt any 15" wheel will fit around the caliper, and not many companies make a 16" drag radial.

If you can find a 16x7" wheel in the right offset and bolt pattern, and its not real heavy then you can fit on a 245/5016 Nitto Drag radial. BFG also makes a 225/45/17 drag radial, that would also work, but prob not as well as the Nitto since the sidewall is a bit shorter and less contact patch.

Dont engine dampers help reduce wheel hop? Is it noticeable after install?

I'm shooting for 12s after I get my new parts installed (Engine dampers, Greddy Emanage, Stickier Rubber). I would think it's possible seeing I got at best a 2.2X 60 and trapped at 108MPH.

Take the headers and pulleys off and then I'll concede my time. Remember, I only had intake, springs/struts, and drag radials on light 17's. I'll bet with headers I coulda ran 13.5's, or damn close.

16"

on premium TL (99-03) with 16", when i balance the wheels with sticking weights, they barely clear the calipers (there are different brands of sticking weights for balancing and some are too thick, they hit the calipers.)
