I don't think so.

The max I would put on a 17x7" is 225/45/17. If you're ballsy, MAYBE a 235/50/17, but that's it.

For snow tires you want narrow & tall. I would not use that size for snows.

i agree with the 225/45/17, but thats the max. Do not put anything bigger, especially 235/45/17 which is what i think he meant to say...that would just be dumb. you need an 8 inch rim to do 235 width or at the very least a 7.5 inch rim

You really need to do research my friend. For the CLS, 235-45-17 on stock rims IS NOT a problem. It has not been for ANYONE EVER on this board.
3 CL's many sets of tires in that size for me & not 1 problem.

^ Yup. 235/45/17 is fine for the factory CLS wheels.
