Who here has 18" wheels with less than +45 offset?

there are some wheels i have been looking at. the dimensions are 18x7.5" and +43 offset. what i want to know is whether or not you've encountered problems with using wheels lower than the 45 offset we should be using and what kind of tire dimensions are cool to use. cos i would like to have those wheels wrapped in some 235/45/18 tires. let me know, guys!

no, i have the Comptech springs with the Illuminas with OEM wheels. don't you have OEM TL wheels? that's weird that you rub with that stuff on.

well, it looks like i'll be okay with what Plats and Saldino said.

On my old 6MT I had a set of 18X7.5 +42 Racing Harts C2's with 235-40-18 tires. I rubbed on big bumps, & sharp turns., or with weight in the car. I took them off after a week. Lowered on the gray CT springs with Tokico HP shocks.

FYI....235-40-18 is the correct upsize tire for the CLS. Anything else & the speedo will be off.

off the subject, but, what pair of rear springs would drop the car 2" from the stock height? i'm thinking of replacing only the rear ones only to have a more even drop. i have CTs right now.
