which wheels

Which wheels do u think fit the cl better. My car is silver btw.

Option 1 http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Wheel...All&sort=Brand

Option 2 http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Wheel...All&sort=Brand

I also am planning on these tires http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Sizes....el=Ventus+R-S2

What size tires would u guys recommend. I was thinking 225/45/17

I would go with option 1. If your not too low, go with 235 series tire. It keeps the speedometer more close to stock.

Between those two I'd pick option 2 as option 1 will end up looking small at 17 inches. I LOVE my 3G TL wheels and would recommend finding some pictures of those on a CL as they give a clean aggressive look. I'll be posting pictures after I finally install my springs and shocks this weekend but there's other pics on this forum.

Tirerack had the option 2 up in 18's for cheaper than the 17's but looks like they sold them all. Im more concerned with performance than big wheels tho.

option 1 is 8 inches wide, whereas option 2 is 7.5. Will that extra .5 inch really help much with grip. It looks like they still recommend same tire sizes for both.

235/45/17 for either size

Closest to stock diameter. Better traction. Better wheel protection. Are you lowered at all?

235 45 17 will be the same height as your factory tires. It also has a slightly larger sidewall so a little more rim insurance and softer ride than a 40 series.

I might just get these in 235/45-17. They scored first in a car and driver autocross comparison and are resonably priced at 125.

That is a GREAT tire. I'd go with option #1.

I already ordered tires yesterday. I got http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes just need to finalize my wheel decision between ron jons inspyre or enkei ekm3's. Im thinking the ron jons for the price plus id rather pay a acurazine vendor.

For the enkei ekm3's tirerack has 18x7.5 5x114 in 38mm offset. I also found them in 18x7.5 5x114.3 in 45 offset, and also 18 x 8 5x114.3 in 40 mm offset. I have the koni/neuspeed Sp3 shocks and neuspeed sport springs on. I can adjust the shock height, which wheels would fit my car best. Thnx. Also the tires i have already are 235/40-18.

18x8 would be my choice, you may need to roll your fenders though.

I think i wld prefer to avoid rolling the fenders, in that case which ones would be best.

Well since you already got the tires, its all about offset. Offset closest to stock is the safest choice for no rub.. So the +45 would be the best

Someone correct me if im wrong

Enkeis. The Inspyres are ugly.

I still say go with the 18x8. You can put wider tires on it to handle the performance parts youre putting on.

Pretty much made up my mind to get the enkei ekm3 in 18x8 40mm offset in silver. Unless someone convinces me otherwise.
