Wheel Max

Wheel Max...what a crock. First, I ordered a tire and wheel package. They charged me for mounting and Balancing. The tires came seperately from the wheels. They did not send Lug nuts.

When I went to have them mounted and balanced, the guys at Sears told me the the wheels were 19X8.5 instead of the 19X8 that I ordered.

When I called wheel max, for the 7th time this week, the manager proceeded to tell me that they don't make a 19X8.5 it is only a 19X8. He told me that they measure from a different spot than everyone else. What does that mean???? By the way, one of their reps hung up on me earlier this week....

So i had the Sears manager pick a wheel off the wall that was marked a 17X8 and measure it the same way on the machine. It came back as an 8 inch.

So when I told him I didn't want them becuase they were not what I ordered, he refused and began to get very heated. I put the Sears manager on the phone and the wheel max manager began to yell at the manager telling him he didn't know what he was doing. I will never order anything from wheel max again.

To anyone considering the lower prices, it isn't worth it. I would have gladly paid double to not deal with their crap.

I am going to keep the 19X8.5 because they don't look all that bad....but it is the principle of it. I will post pictures when I put them after all this snow melts.

I've had good luck with Discount Tire on several occasions...rims & tires.

Tire Rack is overpriced.

I'd recommend Discount Tire and Spy Engineering (for Axis wheels at least)

I've bought 4 sets of rims and tires from them and never had a problem. they all came mounted. with no hidden fees. I don't know what to to say. The last set I bought was 4 months ago with no problems.
