Tire suggestions foe stock wheels?

Getting ready to purchase some new tires. In my old post 235/50/17's were suggested as the best upgrade from the stock 215's. Any other thoughts or suggestions for the newbie?

Thanks in advance.

For stock wheels, you should go with 235/45/17. As for tires, I cant really suggest any, Ive only had one set ever, Fuzions, and theyre not that great but their tread does last.

i would suggest 225/45/17, i have ran 235 and they seem a little too big for the stock 7.5's when i switched to 225/45/17 it seemed like i was saving more gas and the car picked up quicker. I also suggest that size because incase anyone wants to lower their car with the 225/45 it wouldnt rub doesnt matter how low you go.

While its true that 225/45 has less weight and smaller footprint then 235/45, meaning you potentially could save some gas and have less weight to move, the speedo is also off.

That would be another reason why you saved gas and car moved faster. you would be going 62 instead of 60 per se and there for get 350 per tank vs 325.

sticking with 235/45 makes the speedo most accurate, gives better rim protection and better traction.

The tires on my stockies are 215/50/17. What size should I get if I want a smaller side wall?

Why would you want a smaller side wall?

235/45/17 is the best size for our OEM wheels in my opinion

235-45-17. Had 4 or 5 sets on 3 CL's. Never had any problem.
