Thinner than stock wheels?

Ok I dont have a CL, but a 3000gt.

stock wheels are 16x8 with 225/55(?)/16 tires on them.

I can get a great deal on some 18' rims (560 for the set) and they look great, however, theyre 18x7.5

what kind of problems would arise from going thinner?

the 18x7.5 can still have a 225/40/18 tire on them, so im thinking not too much of a bad thing?

Look into going with a 235\40\18. I have those. Wide tire looks great and provides just enough cushion with just enough handling

not really "thinner" since your going up to 18's...but you amy want to recalibrate your speedo after such a big change.

Sounds like a great deal.

btw, you can easily fit a 235 on a 7" rim, let alone a 7.5"

so if this is true, why the hell do i have 225's on my 16x8

but either way as soon as i get a paycheck or two, im gonna be sporting some 18's with 235/40/18 zrated tires.

I know i dont NEED z rated tires, but i have had them before and I love them to death
