How long did it take you to wire up the EDFC?

The coil-overs themselves shoud take no time at all since you don't need any of the old hardware.

Looks good Let us know how you like em when they're in.

well I dyno matted the rear deck today.. since I put the Eldude (Ken) 6X9's in last night.

Ran all the wiring to the top of the ECU... rewired my exhaust dump since I had to pull the wire out of the firewall to get the wiring for the EDFC through.. I can not get one more wire through that firewall hole.. it is PACKED...

ran the power wires over to the passenger side fuse box....

I mounted the EDFC controller right under "this is not an ashtray"... I can literally push the button when I shift the gears if I want to.... and right next to it is my exhaust dump button... toally bitchin man.. totally...

yeah it should take me about 2 hours max to slap the suspension in.. and then another hour to play with it till I get the car where I want it....

with the backseats out.. I put the Koni Yellows on the hardest setting and went for a ride... I almost threw up the ride was so stiff and uncomfortable....I never adjusted the Koni's.. I put them on the softest setting when I installed them and never touched them....

it took me 4 hours to do all the above.

Looks good Smitty. I'm actually picking up the same setup very soon!!! I will be throwing it on shortly before my S/C goes in. Nice and done for the enjoyable summer driving months.

Johnny, these are the new SS-P's, they have pillowmounts to accomodate the the EDFC specifically for our cars.

Smitty quick question:

How much wiring is in the loom? I too am running a large 0-4GA wire for the cutout and was wondering if I had enough room to run the wires into the engine.

Also, which ignition-switched fuse did you use on the passenger side?

I have the Wideband, Boost, Fuel, 4 gauge cut-out wire, 8 gauge AMP wire.. 16 gauge O2 sim wire. and now the EDFC wires... it is PACKED!!..

I should of took pictures of the loom... it is in 3 different sections...

RF (right front)Motor------- plug---> <--Loom----> PLUG><------loom to back of EDFC controller

LF ^^^^^
RR^^^^
LR^^^^^

then LF RF plug into 1 harness and go into the back of the controller.
and RR & LR plug into one harness & ^

3 harnesses in the back of the EDFC controller.. Front harness plug.. Rear harness plug... and POWER supply harness.. and plenty of loom to run the power wires over to the passenger side fuse panel...

You need to tap 4 different wires...

Remote Power-- power when key is on.. I used the Moonroof motor fuse.
Illumination Power
(these 2 ^ can go together)
Constant power... (used the clock fuse)
Ground (right there in fuse panel 10mm socket)... BAM.. all done.

You lucky bastard! I wanted that setup when I first bought the TEIN-ss 2years ago. Of course they didn't have it at the time. I wish I could get rid of this setup and get that one. Your gonna love them.

Well, how is it?!?! I'm freaking excited. Is it simple to adjust the damping on the fly? "ooo, hard turn coming up soon, let me press P1.." must be nice...

Just wondering how the EDFC is ride-wise in the different settings....and compared to the suspension or suspensions you have experienced previously.....and what wheel-tire combination is on the car. Do you know of anyone else who has the system installed?
Thanks....

I need to take pictures.. I forgot

The suspension is awesome... and it is so easy to adjust the height... I only adjusted the rear so far and I counted 10 threads on the sleeve...

I do not know whom else has the EDFC on the CL-S.. but I know a bunch of the TL-S guys have it.

it is nice to set the dampening to different levels.. but I do not really feel any drastoc change when driving down the highway... I hit some twisties through the back hills of PA this past week and it felt really good... I like it alot more than my previous suspension set-up.

I am riding on 18 inch SSR GT3's wrapped in P-Zero Nero tires.
