Talking Suspension Surprise!

Just thought some of you members might get a kick out of this. I was driving around for almost a month trying to figure out what on my car was making this crazy pinging sound. It sounded like the suspension and the first thing I thought was the strut because of the way it sounded. It was a loud metal ping every time the passenger side hit a bump. Id didn't matter if it was a rock, or a line in the road, the damn thing would ping. Three different shops all told me the same thing, "Oh a strut won't make noise like that, even when it's blown. " Well here is the answer to all the "mechanics" who wanted to sell me everything but what would have fixed my problem:

I was convinced it was the strut and sure enough when me and my bro took it out we found that.
It was bent so badly that it wore out the inner wall of the strut as it would bang around and caused all the oil to leak out. There was like an eighth of an inch gap between the shaft and the 'seal' of the tube. Fun stuff! Well now both front struts along with the mounts are brand new and she rides great!
